Nigel Hill

Nigel has been Non-Executive Chairman of Wallem Group since March 2006 and resides in the UK. He is also Managing Director of Clearwater Hydroacoustics Ltd, Managing Director of Clearwater Marine Investments Ltd and Director of Woodstreet Investments B.V.

Previously, Nigel was at Hill Samuel Bank Limited for 14 years as Head of Shipping Finance for 10 years, followed by six years as Head of Shipping Finance at Berliner Bank A.G. During his banking career, Nigel specialised in advising on workout and recovery projects and successfully arranged and managed many diverse and complex cross-border financing transactions.

Nigel established Clearwater Marine Investments Ltd in 2002, to provide consultancy and advisory services to banks, shipyards and shipping companies, including equity raising and tax leasing opportunities. Today Clearwater is a private investment company.

Nigel was elected an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers in 1985.
