Ioannis Stefanou

Ioannis Stefanou joined Wallem Group in 2014 and resides in Singapore. As Managing Director, Wallem Ship Management, Ioannis is responsible for the global leadership and strategic direction of the Ship Management business, together with the crewing, procurement, marine and SeaSafe Lifeboat inspection services.

Previously Ioannis has held a variety of senior roles at prominent ship management companies and private ship operators, including V.Ships, Teekay, and Marflet Marine, and was the Ship Management Technical Director at Wallem prior to being promoted to Managing Director.

As an active member of the maritime community, Ioannis participates in various industry committees and is a Member of the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology. Ioannis is a Chartered Engineer registered with the Engineering Council in the UK.

Ioannis holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, and Master’s degrees in Marine Technology as well as Technical Management of Ship Operations, both from the Department of Naval Architecture, Ocean & Marine Engineering at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow UK. Ioannis has lived and worked in the UK, Spain, Germany, Hong Kong, and Singapore.
